Fall 2009 update

We have had a busy few months. My dad came to visit in early September for 2 weeks--it was good to see him and visit. I took most of the time off and we just hung out around the house. It was good to finally be home for a change.

We finally got an offer on the house approved (that we started on in July). So while my dad was here he got to see the new house, go through our home inspection with us, and hang out at Home Depot while I did some price shopping. All while I received his great wealth of knowledge.

Dad helped get Pat's mustang running smoothly, Jon's bmw on the road, a few brake lights fixed--the air compressor. Well you get the picture--he is very handy to have around. It will probably be a few years before we see him again so I am glad I got to keep him as long as I did :)

We should have closed by Oct 22--but there have been delays at this time with the funding peeps--so maybe move in by early November. Moving over to Old Town Sherwood

Jonathan has now turned 18--which seems odd. I don't think of myself as being old enough to have an 18 year old. Most of my friends are just starting to have little ones and I am just about cleared to go into the empty nest.

Erik is still working on the last bit of funding to leave for Austria in January for a year--i bet he will have a blast there. I am so excited for him to visit and learn so many new things :)

Pat is still looking for work--he has applied at 3 or 4 police station this month. Nothing yet. He had a few interviews in August with no luck yet. One of the companies told him there were very interested but for later this year--maybe later will come soon as the year is almost to an end.

Grateful to still have a steady job to support the gang--
